Got this question from an anon…
Hi, I see that you graduated from CIA? do you think it lives up to its reputation? and do you think it is worth to spend all that money in studying there? I’m planning to study there, hope to hear from you!

Having no basis of comparison, I could not say that the Culinary Institute of America is the best culinary college out there. For some readers and students, before you attack me with your pitchforks and torches, I am going to say that my education there was money well spent by my scholarship founded by C-CAP and Mr. Richard Grausman.
While you’re in school at the CIA, know that you’ll struggle, get screamed, pranked or punked at by chefs and colleagues, but once you get out of the real world, you realize how much stronger you have gotten compared to when you started. For example, as soon as I graduated, I took on a position being a kitchen manager at a bar down here in Hermosa Beach for three months before heading back in Hyde Park. . Granted we are still on the opening stages, I got to train my own staff, got complimented on the execution of my food from the servers - all this while operating a kitchen under someone else’s dime, which is a great opportunity. And I’m proud to say that I’m holding it down pretty well so far.
